Kyso is the leading manufacturer of quality CD labels. Kyso was born in 1997 because the founders recognized the need for a solution to the CD-R decorating dilemma. The issue being that the ink jet printable coatings, on supposedly printable CD-Rs, was and is incompatible with the inks used in ink jet printers. The resulting problems were poor image quality and very long drying times. This adversely impacted duplication cycle time. Matte labels were available at the time and although they worked well with the inks, they yielded poor image quality and several had adhesive performance issues. Kyso dedicated two years of research and development to create IJ-Glosstm as a solution. This single product, more than any other, is responsible for raising the industry standard for labeling CD-Rs. To this day it remains the highest quality label available for decorating CD-Rs. The image resolution achievable with an inexpensive ink-jet printer and IJ-Gloss is superior to any other method available, including screen printing. Other benefits include moisture resistance and the fact they dry instantly.
