What is an OEM Account?
What is a Stocking Distributor?
As a Distributor How Will I Be Supported by Kyso?
Yes.  Kyso will die-cut IJ-Gloss or IJ-Velvet to your specifications.  This is usually done for OEM accounts.  There is normally a 25,000 sheet minimum depending on the sheet size.  The minimum is formulated by total square inches of material used. To discuss your particular needs, contact us.
An OEM Account is one that wants to buy Kyso products and re-sell it under it's own name.  This is usually a retailer of products and many times involves custom die-cutting of IJ Gloss or IJ Velvet.  OEM Accounts are not limited to the CD decorating industry.  It can be any market where a high quality ink-jet label is needed.  To discuss your ideas, contact us.
A Stocking Distributor is an account that purchases larger quantities of Kyso products to take advantage of volume price breaks and re-sells it to consumers or accounts that buy in smaller quantities to realize a profit.  If you're interested, let's discuss the possibilities.  Contact us.
As a Stocking Distributor we will work with you to get started.  We offer some pricing incentives on first orders for distributors.  We will work with you to establish a geographic territory.  This is not intended to limit your coverage area in any way.  It is a means by which we pass-on referrals to distributors.  We will offer you  a link to our site, as a distributor servicing a particular region.  You will benefit from Kyso's advertising and heavy trade show participation (globally).  Contact us with question, thoughts or concerns.

Kyso Announces Release of Kyso IJ-Velvet Labels for CD-Rs
Kyso com is offering the first Non-Glare ink-jet printable label for CD-Rs that will render "True Photo-Quality Images".  The difference is striking when compared side-by-side with standard matte labels currently available.  Colors are more vivid and image resolution rivals that achieved on gloss surfaces.  The labels dry instantly, so not to impede cycle time and are water resistant.  They work extremely well with Laser and Phaser printers as well.

"Because of our reputation for producing only the highest quality labels we have refused to manufacture a matte finish label until now.  This is a very unique product that will keep our reputation in tact, as an innovative leader in new labeling technologies for CD-Rs", says Jeffery Vinyard of Kyso com.

IJ-Velvet is currently available in the popular hub format that allows decoration inside of the stacker ring.  Other formats will become available in the near future.
IJ-Gloss is a registered trademark of Kyso com
Does Kyso do Custom Work?
Ink Jet Printers with Pigmented Inks:  Recently some printer manufacturers have begun offering pigmented inks.  Dura Brite inks from Epson are one example of this.  These inks work well with the IJ-Velvet labels but there are issues with drying on the IJ-Gloss.  Particularly with the black ink.  For this reason we do not recommend using gloss in printers using pigmented inks.  The Ultra Chrome series and the standard dye based inks do work well with either IJ-Gloss or IJ-Velvet labels.

Laser Printers:  A common request is for gloss labels for laser printers.  Because laser printers use toner that sits on top of the label surface, the finish of the colors are determined by the gloss level of the toner.  Since most black toners are carbon based they tend to appear matte or dull when fused.  Because of the heat generated during the fuseing process IJ Gloss is not recommended for use in laser pritners.  Be aware that some have tested the material and liked it when printing one sheet at a time only to experience extreme paper jams and roller damage after heat builds up when printing multiple pages.  IJ-Velvet however is manufactured with a differnt top coating that handles the heat build up and works well in lasers.

Phaser Printers:  These pigmented wax based printers work well with both IJ-Gloss and IJ-Velvet printers.  The heat generated to fuse the wax is less than the lasers and therefore do not create the same problems with paper jams and roller damage.
We Manufacture Labels For: Standard Ink Jet Printers, New Pigmented Ink Jet Printers,
Laser Printers, Phaser Printers.
Standard Desktop Ink Jet Printers:  Most printers on the market use dye based inks.  Unless you have specifically purchased a new printer with "pigmented inks" stated as a feature you probably are using dye based inks.  Both IJ-Gloss and IJ-Velvet labels work very well in these printers.  Which you choose is a matter of personal preference.
